Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has blocked
Newcastle's attempt to sign Victor Valdes on loan.
The Spanish keeper has been completely exiled from
the first-team after a bust-up with Van Gaal and has
been training on his own since the start of the season.
And according to the Daily Mirror , Van Gaal has
refused to allow him to leave Old Trafford as he does
not want Valdes to sign for another Premier League
club.
Newcastle are said to be in the market for him as they
are in need of extra cover for Rob Elliott, with first-
choice keeper Tim Krul ruled out for the season.
Real Madrid are still confident of signing David De
Gea, despite being hit with a two-window transfer
ban.
